Our Veterinarians
Mike Brown, DVM
Dr. Mike Brown is originally from Manhattan, Kansas and currently resides in Muncie with his wife Lisa and two daughters Katie and Lauren. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. Dr. Brown has practiced medicine in Pennsylvania and Indianapolis before opening Care Animal Hospital in 1997. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. In his spare time Dr. Brown enjoys working on projects in his workshop, riding his bicycle, and keeping bees.
Andy Fipp, DVM
Dr. Andy Fipp has worked for Care Animal Hospital since 2006. Prior to that, he practiced in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Andy is originally from Leo, Indiana but has relocated to Muncie and shares his home with his two mixed breed dogs, Speckles and Virgil. He is a 2005 graduate of Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fipp is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. He takes special interest in cardiology and dentistry. When he is not busy at work, Dr. Fipp enjoys playing and watching sports, especially basketball, baseball and football.
Matt Hobson, DVM
Dr. Matt Hobson is originally from Parker, Kansas. He joined Care Animal Hospital as a veterinarian after graduating from Kansas State University in 2010. He previously earned his Bachelor of Science form Kansas State in 2008. Dr. Hobson currently lives in Muncie with his wife, Libby. Libby is an excellent balloon artist. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Hobson is an outdoorsman and enjoys fishing, hunting, running, bicycling, and golfing. Dr. Hobson also likes to try his hand at making homemade beer from time to time.
Hospital Management
Amanda
Amanda has been the Practice Manager of Care Animal Hospital since 2004. She is originally from Arcadia, but currently lives in Alexandria with her husband Tony, son Jarrett, daughter Charley, and her two dogs, Pedro, an Australian Cattle Dog and Cricket, a Welsh Pembroke Corgi. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in Animal Science and Master of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma State University. When she is not living at the hospital, Amanda enjoys showing beef cattle, spending time with her family and working on home improvement projects that just never seem to get done.
Julie
Julie has worked for Care Animal Hospital since February of 2003 and is currently the Office Manager. She is originally from Frankfort, but currently lives in Anderson with her daughter Sheradan. They share the house with Bella a beagle mix and six cats: Symon, Sammy, Mac, Lylee, Reggie and Murphy. When outside of work, Julie loves to shop and to try out new recipes when cooking.
Our Groomer
Jamie
Jamie has been with Care Animal Hospital since the opening in 1997. She has over twenty years of experience in making the pets of Muncie look their best. Jamie lives in Summitville and shares her home with 8 dogs: Lilly Pearl, Bullett, Gunner, Juan Pablo, Lydia, Scooby Doo, Coco Puff and Shorty. There are also several barn cats running around the place that keep Jamie’s cows company. Her favorites are a couple of Angus gals named Lavern and Shirley. When Jamie is not taking care of all her animals, she enjoys gardening.
Front Desk
Julia
Julia has worked at Care Animal Hospital as a receptionist since 2008. She is originally from Alabaster, Alabama and many clients enjoy being greeted by her southern drawl as they enter the clinic. Julia currently lives in Muncie with her Boston terrier, Lucy. Julia is also attending Ivy Tech in pursuit of becoming a physical therapy assistant. In her spare time, Julia is a big University of Alabama football enthusiast, so give her a big Roll Tide the next time you see her.
Chantal
Chantal has been at Care Animal Hospital as a receptionist since 2010. She grew up on a farm in Portland, Indiana. She currently resides in Frankton with her husband Nick and her son and future home run champion Eli. They also have an American bulldog named Champ and an English bulldog named Moony. Chantal enjoys doing hair and makeup, singing, playing baseball, and playing Euchre.
Veterinary Assistants
Jennie
Jennie has worked for Care Animal Hospital since 2000. She has a Bachelor Degree in Zoology from Ball State University. Jennie is originally from East Chicago, Indiana, but currently resides here in Muncie with her husband Alan, son Jacob, and daughter Emily. They share their home with a Golden Retriever, Remington, and two cats: Bailey, and Linus! Alan also manages the fish in the aquarium. Jennie keeps us all very organized here at Care Animal Hospital, but likes to spend her time outside of the hospital reading, working on her house and yard as well as collecting Snoopy memorabilia.
Tanya
Tanya has worked at Care Animal Hospital since June of 2003 and is a member of our surgical team. She is originally from Muncie, where she lives with her husband David, her son Logan, daughter Ashliegh, and her granddaughter Kaylana. They share their home with three dogs: Jenna, Marley, and Willow, as well as seven cats: Jade, Meaghan, Nita, Ruth, Batman, Penelope, and Wendy. Tanya has been working in the veterinary field since 1989. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and building dollhouses.
Janette
Janette has been at Care Animal Hospital since March of 2003 and is a member of our surgical team. She grew up in Muncie, graduated from South Side High School and currently lives in Albany with her husband David and daughter Elaine. Janette’s zoo consists of two dogs, Bear and Petey, five cats, Honey, Lemmie, Jedi, Bud, and Spots, a bird named Frank, and three hermit crabs: Rocky, Sandy and Plankton! When she is not on surgical duty here at Care Animal Hospital, Janette loves to study genealogy, listen to music, read and go horseback riding.
Jessica L.
Jessica L. has been with Care Animal Hospital since 2009. She is born and raised in Upland, Indiana where she lives with her mom and brother. She has three dogs: Sage, Magnum, and Steiger. Jessica is a 4-H leader and enjoys riding horses and barrel racing. She is also an excellent sharpshooter, so we all try to stay on her good side.
Kennel Assistants
Alvin
Alvin has resided at Care Animal Hospital since 2009 and is the real boss of Care Animal Hospital. He has certifications in mouse hunting and relaxing in sunny windows. He also enjoys laying on keyboards and getting into cabinets. He is a talented escape artist and can get into things overnight if he is not properly secured in his kennel.
